The PADR – Pro Alcohol Drag Racing Orgaization Started To Enhance Top Alcohol Drag Racing

Top Alcohol Funny Car teams from across the country announce the formation of Pro Alcohol Drag Racing.

The PADR is an organization dedicated to the expansion and enhancement of opportunities for 1/4 Mile Professional Alcohol Drag Racing.

The PADR believes that the lack of growth and popularity over the last several decades needs to be addressed and fixed. With the performances that this racing produces Top Alcohol Funny Cars and Dragsters should be seeing much more exposure and popularity. These cars are very fast, very loud, and the toughest cars to drive in drag racing. It takes the precision of Pro Stock but with almost 4 times the power. Even staging these cars takes a precision that few classes in Drag Racing can claim.

The men and women in Blown Alcohol Cars are the best. They are professionals by any standard in Motorsports and the PADR is here now to help carry the class forward to the levels it should be operating at.

The PADR is here to promote Professional Alcohol Drag Racing, not produce talent for other classes. Top Alcohol Racing is not the minor leagues of Fuel Racing, rather it is the Major Leagues of Alcohol Racing. There are other racers and officials that do not share that perspective. There are proposals on the table that we believe will hurt Alcohol Racing and drive it further into insignificance if implemented. The PADR is preparing alternate strategies and options for Alcohol Racers.

“The idea of starting a Professional Organization for Top Alcohol Racing has been something we have considered for many years,” explained Kevin Hool, who along with his brother Kris own and operate K&K Motorsports. “We have been racing Top Alcohol Funny Cars since the early 90’s and helping other teams all the way back to the 80’s. Alcohol Racing is at a point where significant actions have to be taken if the class is to thrive again. We want to help bring excitement and continued growth back to Top Alcohol Drag Racing throughout the country.”

Pro Alcohol Drag Racing will operate within existing series’, and may include PADR Events across the nation. Drivers in the PADR will compete for a PADR Series championship and/or bonus funding within an existing series’.

PADR specialty races will be streamed live on the PADR1320.com web site, and with other streaming partners.

“Our focus will be widespread and encompassing”, said Kevin Hool. “The PADR looks to build on the history and tradition of 1/4 Mile Top Alcohol Racing. The spectacle that is Pro Alcohol Drag Racing is consistently the best and most intense action on any Drag Strip anywhere in the world. Our goal is to further strengthen Alcohol Racing throughout the United States and the world.”

The PADR will have many areas of focus:

  1. Racer Revenue Programs
  2. Creative Sponsorship Opportunities
  3. Revitalized Contingency Programs and Manufacturer Participation
  4. Enhanced and Increased Media Presence and Content Creation
  5. New Team Recruitment and Scholarships
  6. The “Swapin Feet” Podcast
  7. PADR Special Events

Needless to say everyone in the PADR will be busy.

Stay Tuned for more updates as they become available, and thank you for the support we are receiving.
